This concept is a framework for Christians to look at the areas of culture over which God wants us to have influence: Church/Faith; Family; Education; Government; Media; Business; and Arts and Entertainment, using a biblical worldview.* Several prominent Christians in the latter half of the 20th century received this revelation of the seven mountains or “spheres” of influence from God, including Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade for Christ; Loren Cunningham, the founder of Y.W.A.M., Youth with a Mission; Francis Schaeffer, a theologian and founder of the L’Abri community in Switzerland; and Senator Michael Crotts, a Georgia State Senator.
